In April 2010, Malaysian Switchgear Distributors (Pty) Ltd became the official South African agency for TAMCO Medium Voltage Switchgear. TAMCO, with over 40 years of manufacturing expertise, is the largest producer of low and medium voltage switchgear in Southeast Asia.

Over the past 15+ years, Malaysian Switchgear Distributors has expanded its client base, establishing a strong foothold across various industry sectors. Today, approximately 10,000+ switchgear panels are in service at sites throughout South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

In January 2012, Malaysian Switchgear Distributors announced the launch of the new Dry Ice cleaning service, a mobile on-site cleaning services division for the in-situ dry ice cleaning of LV,MV and HV indoor and outdoor switchgear, substations and general mechanical and electrical plant and equipment.

We have the latest in Dry ice cleaning machine technology and mobile compressor equipment and our team is available 24 hours a day.
